Student Travel Grants

The IEEE SMC society awards travel grants to the students who are in most need and lack financial resources to attend the conference. The travel grant will be available to PhD and Masters students who are IEEE SMC members and who study in the SMC related field.
The amount of travel support will be determined case by case but will not exceed $500 USD.
Students who would like to apply for the travel support should send their application package by August 15, 2006. The application package should include the following:

• Travel Support Form: (See bottom of this page)
• An official letter from supervisor or department chair stating that you need additional funds to travel to the SMC Conference.
• The confirmation of your student status: Include the number of your IEEE SMC Student membership in the Travel Support Form.
• Applicants must present their papers at the conference. Please include your Paper Title and Paper Number in the Travel Support Form.
