Review Guidelines for PC Co-Chairs/Special-Session Co-Chairs/Special-Session Organizers:

  1. Papers submitted to SMC 2006 will be evaluated via an online review system hosted at the web site. Each PC member will be invited to review several papers by online filling a score sheet for each assigned paper.
    The final score of each reviewed paper is based on the weighted average of paper quality and reviewers' confidence on the domain of the reviewed paper.
  2. At least 2 reviews for each paper is needed to make an accept/reject recommendation, so 3 reviewers will be assigned for each paper. Author should not be a
    referee to his/her paper.
  3. The paper management system can do paper assignment automatically, but PC Co-Chairs/Special-Session Co-Chairs/Special-Session Organizers have to manually check and adjust to prevent reviewers from reviewing
    their own papers.
  4. Special-Session Co-Chairs can allow Special-Session Organizers to manage reviewing: collecting referees, assigning the referees to their Special-Session papers, and make their plans of acceptance/rejection.
    However, the Special-Session Co-Chairs will make the final decision.
  5. Program Chairs/Co-Chairs will take the full responsibility of making an accept/reject decision on each regular-session paper, and Special-Session Co-Chairs will take the full responsibility of making a
    accept/reject decision on each special-session paper.
  6. After obtaining all the review comments, the acceptance rate will be decided based on the overall paper quality and the number of total paper submissions.

 

 

 

 

 

 


User Manual for Special Session Organizers:

Please follow the steps below to assign session papers to reviewers.

  1. Input your “Account Name” and “Password” and click “Enter” to enter the conference management system.
  2. Click “Working Area for Chairs” on the top bar.
  3. Choose your special session name and click “Enter” to enter your session in “Position”.
  4. Click “Position Assignment” to add reviewers.
  5. Input the data of the reviewer by clicking “Add”. E-mail and Last name are necessary.
  6. Assign papers to proper reviewer by clicking “Paper Assignment.”
  7. Choose a paper on the left side of the “Assign Papers to Reviewers” page. Then choose suitable reviewers on the right side. Click “>>” key to assign a paper to reviewers.
  8. The details of your assignment will be shown under “Already Assigned to.”

If you want to leave the assignment to the system, just click “Auto Assign” key to auto-assign papers to reviewers. If there is problem with the system, please contact for technical help.

 

 

 

 

 

 


User Manual for Reviewers of Special Session:

  1. Input “Account Name” and “Password” to enter the conference management system.
  2. Click “Working Area for Reviewers”.
  3. All the papers that you are assigned will be shown by clicking “Assigned Papers.”
  4. Click “Manuscript” to download papers.
  5. After finishing the review, click “Grade Sheet” to give the score and comment.
